Lucy and family

Lucy was born in England. She met her first Muslim at school at the age of 16. Whilst studying Economics at Cambridge University, Lucy investigated Christianity and Islam at the same time, and unexpectedly found herself compelled by what she had discovered to make a life-changing decision about her faith.

Lucy’s career has transitioned from Financial analysis in Consumer Goods, to Health Economics in a multinational pharmaceutical company, to working in the NGO (charity sector) in marketing, programmes and strategy in the UK and in South Africa.

Alongside her career, in both countries, Lucy has been teaching Muslim children and teenagers to think about their faith and engage with it intellectually, practically, and through service to others. She also speaks about diversity and inclusion to anyone who is interested – including schoolchildren, teachers, police, and even the Women’s Institute.

Lucy has 3 children and a kitten who loves walking over the keyboard.
